■ Retired RADM John Kirby is the
new spokesman for the Department of State. He most recently
served as spokesman for the
Department of Defense.
■ Northrop Grumman Corp. has
appointed Sonal B. Deshpande vice
president of mission assurance for
the company’s Electronic Systems
sector. She previously served as vice
president, Engineering, Manufacturing & Logistics for the
Airborne ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) and
Targeting Systems and Space ISR
Systems Divisions. The company
also appointed Steve Lunny as vice
president and program manager for
the ISR division within the company’s Information Systems sector.

Jaime Bohnke has been appointed vice president, corporate supply
chain, for Northrop Grumman.
Bohnke most recently served as vice
president, enterprise supply chain
and chief procurement officer for
PPL Corporation in Allentown, Pa.
Jeanie Wade has been selected as
Northrop Grumman’s vice president, service center operations. She
previously served as director, enterprise talent acquisition.
Jane Bishop has been appointed
vice president, E-2/C- 2 programs
for the Military Aircraft Systems
division of Northrop Grumman’s
Aerospace Systems sector. She pre-
viously served as deputy lead of the
E-2/C- 2 program.
Stuart Linsky has been named
vice president, engineering and
global product development, of the
Aerospace Systems sector. Linsky
succeeds Peggy Nelson, who will
retire this summer.
Northrop Grumman also has
appointed Mick Jaggers vice president and program manager, Global
Hawk unmanned aircraft system programs. He has held positions within
the Aerospace Systems sector across a
number of unmanned programs.
■ General Dynamics selected Mark
L. Burns, president of product support for Gulfstream Aerospace Corp.,
to succeed Larry R. Flynn, who
retired as president of Gulfstream.
Joseph T. Lombardo, executive vice
president of General Dynamics’
Aerospace group, also has retired.
■ Michael A. “Tony” Reid, former
U.S. Navy director for anti-terrorism,
force protection, has joined HALO
Maritime Defense Systems as a subject matter expert on threat analysis
and systems integration.
■ The Association for Unmanned
Vehicle Systems International has
selected two new members of its
board of directors: Jonathan Downey, CEO of Airware, and Lauren
McCollum, director of legislative
affairs at Lockheed Martin Corp.
■ Aerojet Rocketdyne’s Chief
Operating Officer Eileen Drake has
succeeded Scott Seymour as CEO
and president. Drake also will succeed Seymour, who has retired, as a
member of the board of directors.
■ Airbus Group has appointed
Jean-Pierre Talamoni executive
vice president Marketing & Sales
for Airbus Defence and Space. He
will replace Christian Scherer,
who, in turn, will take over Talamoni’s current position as head
of Airbus Group International.
■ Andrew Smith has joined
Fairbanks Morse Engine as leader
