The land for the facility —
seven acres surrounded by another
400 acres that the Sea Cadets can
access with constraints, such as no
cutting of trees — was deeded as a
donation. Organizations including

Post 7865; the Madison chief of
police’s office; the Kennebec
County Sheriff’s Department; and
the Navy League’s Penobscot Bay
