Raytheon To Acquire
Applied Signal Technology
Raytheon Corp., Waltham, Mass.,
has announced a cash-tender offer to
purchase Applied Signal Technology
(AST) Inc. of Sunnyvale, Calif. The
merger has been approved by both
companies and the AST board of
directors has recommended its share-
holders to tender their shares. Upon
successful completion of the merger,
AST shareholders will receive $38 for
each share of validly tendered com-
mon stock and without interest.
